Mahfaza ('we' or 'us' or 'our') respects the privacy of our users ('user' or 'you'). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our mobile application Mahfaza (the 'App') or our website mahfazawallet.com (collectively, the 'Site'). This Privacy Policy also covers how we use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on the Site and App.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason, without prior notice to any user. We will alert you about any changes by updating the 'Last updated' date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the App after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted. We are under no obligation to notify you individually of any changes, and the posting of the revised Privacy Policy on the Site shall constitute sufficient notice.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party online or mobile store from which you install the App or make payments, including any in-app purchases or subscriptions, which may also collect and use data about you. We are not responsible for any of the data collected by any such third party.
This Privacy Policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is being used online. PII is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our Site.

What personal information do we collect from the people who use our app? When you register for an account, we may collect your email address for the purpose of authentication and account recovery. Your chosen display name is collected to personalize your experience and to display within shared wallets if you choose to use that feature. If you optionally provide your nationality or country of residence, that information is stored in your profile. Financial data such as income amounts, expense entries, loan details, savings goals, and budget allocations that you manually enter into the App are stored in our database to provide you with the Service. We do not connect to any bank, financial institution, or payment processor to automatically retrieve your financial information. All financial data in the App is entered by you manually and voluntarily. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of all data you enter into the App, and that we bear no responsibility for any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in such data.
We may also automatically collect certain technical information when you access the App, including but not limited to your device type, browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address, approximate geographic location derived from your IP address, access times, referring URLs, and usage patterns. This information is collected by our infrastructure providers for security, operational, and analytical purposes. Your local preferences such as language selection, theme preference, and currency selection are stored locally on your device and in our database to maintain your settings across sessions and devices.
How do we use your information? We may use the information we collect from you in the following ways: to operate and maintain the App and provide you with the Service; to personalize your experience and deliver the type of content and features relevant to your preferences; to improve our website or application in order to better serve you; to allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests; to follow up on application bug or crash investigations; to synchronize your data across multiple devices when you sign in; to display your information within shared wallets and shared goals to other members you have explicitly invited; to enforce our Terms of Service and protect our rights, property, and safety; and to compile aggregated, anonymized statistical data for analysis, research, reporting, or commercial purposes, including but not limited to the sale or licensing of such aggregated data to third parties for market research, financial trend analysis, consumer behavior studies, or any other lawful commercial purpose. Such aggregated data may include, by way of example and not limitation, average spending patterns in a given region, income distribution trends, savings behavior across demographics, and general financial habits of user groups. This aggregated data will be fully anonymized and will not be capable of identifying any individual user, and will not include your email address, name, or any other personally identifiable information. We will only compile and use such aggregated data from users who have explicitly opted in to data sharing through the in-app consent mechanism. By opting in, you acknowledge that the resulting aggregated, anonymized datasets become the exclusive intellectual property of Mahfaza and that you have no ownership claim, right to compensation, or right to revoke consent retroactively with respect to aggregated data already compiled prior to your withdrawal of consent.
We do not use your information to serve advertisements within the App. We do not currently use Google AdSense, Google AdMob, or any other advertising network within our App. We reserve the right to introduce advertising or analytics tools in future versions of the App, and any such introduction will be reflected in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.
Third-party disclosure. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information or other individually identifiable Personal Information entered into our App, except as described in this Privacy Policy. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our Site and App, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may use third-party service providers to host our database and provide authentication services. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality of your data. We may also release information when its release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our Site or App policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety. We reserve the right to transfer your information in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, in which case you will be notified via a prominent notice on the Site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information.
Service providers and cloud storage. The App uses third-party cloud service providers for database hosting, authentication, website hosting, and typography. Your account data and financial entries are stored on servers operated by our cloud database provider. You acknowledge and agree that your data is stored via a third-party cloud service provider, and that our responsibility is limited to exercising reasonable professional care in securing such data. We do not guarantee absolute protection against sophisticated cyberattacks, zero-day vulnerabilities, advanced persistent threats, or force majeure events that may affect the servers of our third-party providers. In the event of a data breach originating from our service provider's infrastructure, our sole obligation shall be to notify affected users within a reasonable time period, and our liability shall be limited as set forth in our Terms of Service. We may change service providers at any time without prior notice to you. We make no representations or warranties regarding the security practices, uptime, or reliability of any third-party service provider.
Cookies and local storage. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by a website or application. Local storage (also known as localStorage) is a similar browser-based mechanism for storing data on your device. The App uses local storage to save your preferences such as language, theme, and currency settings, to maintain temporary session state, to store your data sharing consent preference, and to cache certain application data for performance. The App uses authentication cookies or tokens provided by our authentication provider to keep you signed in across sessions. These authentication tokens do not contain your financial data and expire automatically when you sign out or when the session times out. The App does not currently use cookies for advertising, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics purposes. We reserve the right to introduce analytics or performance tracking tools in future versions of the App. We do not currently allow any third party to place cookies or tracking technologies through our App, but reserve the right to do so in the future with appropriate disclosure. You may clear local storage data at any time through your browser settings or by using the reset function within the App. Removing the App from your device will also delete all locally stored data. If you block or refuse the authentication cookies or tokens used by our authentication provider, you will not be able to sign in and use the App, as the App requires authentication to function.
Data retention. Your account data and financial entries are retained in our database for as long as your account remains active and for such additional period as may be necessary for legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or legitimate business purposes. If you request deletion of your account, we will make reasonable efforts to remove your personally identifiable data from our active systems within a reasonable time period. Residual copies of your data may remain in backup systems, disaster recovery systems, logs, and archives for an indefinite period as part of our normal data management operations. We make no specific guarantees regarding the exact timing of data deletion from all systems. Aggregated, anonymized data derived from your usage will be retained indefinitely regardless of account deletion, as such data does not constitute personally identifiable information.
Your data. If you have questions about the personal information we hold about you, or if you wish to request correction or deletion of your data, you may contact us at support@mahfazawallet.com. We will make reasonable efforts to respond to your request in a timely manner, but we make no guarantees regarding response times or the ability to fulfill all requests. Please note that certain data may need to be retained for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes even after you request deletion. We reserve the right to verify your identity before processing any data access or deletion requests, and may refuse requests that we deem to be excessive, repetitive, or technically impractical. We are not responsible for data that you have shared with other users through shared wallets or shared goals features, as that data may remain accessible to those users even after you delete your account. We have no obligation to delete or modify data that other users have independently recorded or retained.
Data security. We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect the security of your personal information and financial data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security and expressly disclaim any warranty or representation regarding the security of data transmitted to or stored by the App. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO, ALTERATION OF, THEFT, CORRUPTION, OR DESTRUCTION OF YOUR DATA THAT RESULTS FROM FACTORS BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR BREACHES OF OUR SERVICE PROVIDERS' SYSTEMS; SOPHISTICATED CYBERATTACKS, ZERO-DAY EXPLOITS, OR ADVANCED PERSISTENT THREATS; MALWARE, VIRUSES, OR RANSOMWARE ON YOUR DEVICE; YOUR FAILURE TO MAINTAIN THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF YOUR ACCOUNT CREDENTIALS; FORCE MAJEURE EVENTS INCLUDING NATURAL DISASTERS, WAR, TERRORISM, OR GOVERNMENT ACTIONS; FAILURES IN THIRD-PARTY INFRASTRUCTURE INCLUDING INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDERS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORKS; OR ANY OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including your password, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Children. The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16. Since the App does not require official identity documents for verification, we have no reliable means of verifying the age of our users. The parent, legal guardian, or custodian of any minor is the first and sole party responsible for monitoring and supervising the minor's use of the App and any electronic devices through which the App may be accessed. If we become aware that an account belongs to a user under the age of 16, our sole obligation and remedy shall be to delete the account immediately, without any legal liability whatsoever for any data processed, displayed, or stored during the period the account was active prior to such deletion. By allowing a minor to use the App, the parent or guardian assumes full responsibility for any consequences arising from such use.
Third-party links. Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer links to third-party products, services, or websites within our App or Site. These third-party sites and services have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content, activities, privacy practices, data collection, or any other aspect of these linked sites or services.
Do Not Track signals. The App does not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals, as there is no industry-standard technology for recognizing or honoring DNT signals.
International users. The App is operated from the State of Qatar and is intended primarily for users in the Arab world and the Middle East. We make no representation or warranty that the App is appropriate, available, or compliant with laws in any jurisdiction outside the State of Qatar. If you access the App from outside Qatar and the Middle East region, you do so entirely on your own initiative, at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations in your jurisdiction. We do not guarantee that the App complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), or any other data protection law outside of the State of Qatar. By using the App from any jurisdiction, you consent to the collection, transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the State of Qatar, regardless of your country of residence or citizenship. Data protection laws in Qatar may differ materially from those in your country of residence, and by using the App you irrevocably acknowledge and accept this.
Amendments to this Privacy Policy. We have the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice to any user. Any changes we make to our Privacy Policy will be reflected by updating the 'Last updated' date at the top of this document and shall be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your irrevocable acceptance of the revised terms. It is your sole responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

الاحتفاظ بالبيانات. يتم الاحتفاظ ببيانات حسابك وإدخالاتك المالية في قاعدة بياناتنا طالما أن حسابك نشط ولأي فترة إضافية قد تكون ضرورية لأغراض قانونية أو تنظيمية أو ضريبية أو محاسبية أو تجارية مشروعة. إذا طلبت حذف حسابك فسنبذل جهوداً معقولة لإزالة بياناتك الشخصية القابلة للتحديد من أنظمتنا النشطة خلال فترة زمنية معقولة. قد تبقى نسخ متبقية من بياناتك في أنظمة النسخ الاحتياطي وأنظمة التعافي من الكوارث والسجلات والأرشيفات لفترة غير محددة كجزء من عمليات إدارة البيانات العادية. لا نقدم ضمانات محددة بشأن التوقيت الدقيق لحذف البيانات من جميع الأنظمة. سيتم الاحتفاظ بالبيانات المجمّعة ومجهولة الهوية المستمدة من استخدامك إلى أجل غير مسمى بغض النظر عن حذف الحساب حيث لا تشكل تلك البيانات معلومات شخصية قابلة للتحديد.
بياناتك. إذا كانت لديك أسئلة حول المعلومات الشخصية التي نحتفظ بها عنك أو إذا كنت ترغب في طلب تصحيح أو حذف بياناتك فيمكنك التواصل معنا على support@mahfazawallet.com. سنبذل جهوداً معقولة للرد على طلبك في الوقت المناسب لكننا لا نقدم ضمانات بشأن أوقات الاستجابة أو القدرة على تلبية جميع الطلبات. يرجى ملاحظة أنه قد يلزم الاحتفاظ ببيانات معينة لأغراض قانونية أو تنظيمية أو تجارية مشروعة حتى بعد طلبك الحذف. نحتفظ بالحق في التحقق من هويتك قبل معالجة أي طلبات وصول أو حذف بيانات ويمكننا رفض الطلبات التي نعتبرها مفرطة أو متكررة أو غير عملية تقنياً. نحن غير مسؤولين عن البيانات التي شاركتها مع مستخدمين آخرين من خلال ميزات المحافظ المشتركة أو الأهداف المشتركة حيث قد تظل تلك البيانات متاحة لأولئك المستخدمين حتى بعد حذف حسابك. ليس لدينا أي التزام بحذف أو تعديل البيانات التي سجلها أو احتفظ بها مستخدمون آخرون بشكل مستقل.
أمان البيانات. ننفذ إجراءات تقنية وإدارية وتنظيمية معقولة لحماية أمان معلوماتك الشخصية وبياناتك المالية. ومع ذلك لا توجد طريقة نقل عبر الإنترنت أو طريقة تخزين إلكتروني آمنة تماماً. بينما نسعى جاهدين لاستخدام وسائل معقولة تجارياً لحماية معلوماتك الشخصية لا يمكننا ضمان أمنها المطلق ونخلي مسؤوليتنا صراحةً عن أي ضمان أو تعهد بشأن أمان البيانات المنقولة إلى أو المخزنة بواسطة التطبيق. نحن غير مسؤولين عن أي وصول غير مصرح به إلى بياناتك أو تغييرها أو سرقتها أو تلفها أو تدميرها نتيجة عوامل خارجة عن سيطرتنا المعقولة بما في ذلك على سبيل المثال لا الحصر: الوصول غير المصرح به إلى أنظمة مزودي الخدمات لدينا أو اختراقها والهجمات السيبرانية المتطورة وثغرات اليوم الصفري والتهديدات المستمرة المتقدمة والبرامج الضارة أو الفيروسات أو برامج الفدية على جهازك وفشلك في الحفاظ على سرية بيانات اعتماد حسابك وأحداث القوة القاهرة بما في ذلك الكوارث الطبيعية والحروب والإرهاب والإجراءات الحكومية والأعطال في البنية التحتية لأطراف ثالثة بما في ذلك مزودي خدمة الإنترنت وشبكات الاتصالات أو أي ظروف أخرى خارجة عن سيطرتنا المعقولة. أنت مسؤول عن الحفاظ على أمان بيانات اعتماد حسابك بما في ذلك كلمة مرورك وعن جميع الأنشطة التي تحدث تحت حسابك.
الأطفال. التطبيق غير مخصص للاستخدام من قبل الأفراد الذين تقل أعمارهم عن 16 عاماً. نحن لا نجمع عمداً معلومات شخصية قابلة للتحديد من الأطفال دون سن 16. بما أن التطبيق لا يتطلب وثائق رسمية للتحقق من الهوية فليس لدينا وسيلة موثوقة للتحقق من أعمار مستخدمينا. ولي الأمر أو الوصي القانوني لأي قاصر هو الطرف الأول والوحيد المسؤول عن مراقبة والإشراف على استخدام القاصر للتطبيق وأي أجهزة إلكترونية يمكن من خلالها الوصول إلى التطبيق. إذا علمنا أن حساباً ينتمي لمستخدم دون سن 16 فإن التزامنا الوحيد وتعويضنا الحصري يكون حذف الحساب فوراً دون أي مسؤولية قانونية مهما كانت عن أي بيانات تمت معالجتها أو عرضها أو تخزينها خلال الفترة التي كان فيها الحساب نشطاً قبل هذا الحذف. بالسماح لقاصر باستخدام التطبيق يتحمل ولي الأمر أو الوصي المسؤولية الكاملة عن أي عواقب ناشئة عن هذا الاستخدام.
روابط الأطراف الثالثة. من حين لآخر وفقاً لتقديرنا قد نضمن أو نقدم روابط لمنتجات أو خدمات أو مواقع ويب تابعة لأطراف ثالثة داخل تطبيقنا أو موقعنا. تمتلك مواقع وخدمات الأطراف الثالثة هذه سياسات خصوصية منفصلة ومستقلة. لذلك ليس لدينا أي مسؤولية أو التزام عن محتوى أو أنشطة أو ممارسات الخصوصية أو جمع البيانات أو أي جانب آخر من جوانب هذه المواقع أو الخدمات المرتبطة.
المستخدمون الدوليون. يتم تشغيل التطبيق من دولة قطر وهو مخصص بشكل أساسي للمستخدمين في العالم العربي والشرق الأوسط. لا نقدم أي تعهد أو ضمان بأن التطبيق مناسب أو متاح أو متوافق مع القوانين في أي ولاية قضائية خارج دولة قطر. إذا قمت بالوصول إلى التطبيق من خارج قطر ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط فأنت تفعل ذلك بالكامل بمبادرتك الخاصة وعلى مسؤوليتك الخاصة وأنت المسؤول الوحيد عن الامتثال لجميع القوانين واللوائح المحلية والوطنية والدولية المعمول بها في ولايتك القضائية. لا نضمن أن التطبيق يتوافق مع اللائحة العامة لحماية البيانات الأوروبية أو قانون خصوصية المستهلك في كاليفورنيا أو أي قانون آخر لحماية البيانات خارج دولة قطر. باستخدامك للتطبيق من أي ولاية قضائية فإنك توافق على جمع ونقل وتخزين ومعالجة معلوماتك في دولة قطر بغض النظر عن بلد إقامتك أو جنسيتك. قد تختلف قوانين حماية البيانات في قطر جوهرياً عن تلك الموجودة في بلد إقامتك وباستخدامك للتطبيق فإنك تقر وتقبل ذلك بشكل لا رجعة فيه.
التعديلات على سياسة الخصوصية هذه. نحتفظ بالحق في تعديل سياسة الخصوصية هذه في أي وقت ولأي سبب ودون إشعار مسبق لأي مستخدم. ستنعكس أي تغييرات نجريها على سياسة الخصوصية عن طريق تحديث تاريخ "آخر تحديث" في أعلى هذا المستند وتسري فوراً عند النشر. يشكل استمرارك في استخدام التطبيق بعد أي تغييرات على سياسة الخصوصية هذه قبولك الذي لا رجعة فيه للشروط المنقحة. تقع على عاتقك وحدك مسؤولية مراجعة سياسة الخصوصية هذه دورياً.
